BABCOCK 2018/2019 UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM ON SALE

The management of Babcock University (BU) invites Applications from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into Babcock University (BU), for 4, 5, or 6 year Degree Courses for the 2018/2019 academic session.
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings);one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery. Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.
CANDIDATES AWAITING 2018 WAEC/NECO SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.
All candidates who APPLY DIRECTLYto Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry). Candidates applying for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter, Transcript and Attestation Letter from the previous University.

Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) History & International Studies
Requirements: 5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects.
DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES AND LITERARY STUDIES
Degrees Offered: 1.) B.A. (Hons.)English Studies 2.) B.A. (Hons.)French Studies
Requirements: For 1.) and 2.) above,5 credits in English Language,Literature in English and any other three subjects.For 2.) above, a credit pass in French may be considered in place of Literature in English.
DEPARTMENT OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES
Degrees Offered:B.A. (Hons.) Christian Religious Studies. [1] B.A. (Hons) Religious Studies [2]
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, CRK and any other 3 subjects for [1] and CRS or IRS for [2] above. A pass in Mathematics is required for each of the programs

Requirements: For Nos 1 and 2 above, 5 credits in English Language and Mathematics and any other 3 social sciences. For Nos 3 and 4 above, 5 credits in English Language and Mathematics and any 3 other subjects. For No 5 above, 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any 3 other subjects.Direct Entry: In addition, holders of NCE, OND, HND or equivalent can apply for Direct Entry. Applicants should
also have 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics or Grade II with passes at merit level in 5 subjects.
DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC AND CREATIVE ARTS
Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) Music
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, and any other four subjects.Direct Entry: In addition, holders of NCE, OND, HND in Music or its equivalent can apply for Direct Entry.Applicants should also have 5 credits
including English Language or Grade II with passes at merit level in 5 subjects.

Degree Offered: LLB. (Hons) Law
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English,Mathematics and any other two social science subjects.Direct Entry: Advanced level in Higher School Certificate or Bachelor of Arts degree in any related course from any accredited University with second class lower division and above. Candidates must present their transcripts and O’ level results- as stated in the O’ level requirements above.
SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES
DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING
Degree Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects
NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Accounting or Commerce.One year professional training: All BSc Accounting students may after completion enroll for one year into the professional class to sit ACA/ACCA/CITN/CIMA Certification Examinations. Such students should have been processed for exemptions under MOU with various professional bodies after their BSc Certification at the end of the fourth year. Internship: All ACCA registered students will be attached to some designated companies for practical experience during long holidays from 100 Level to 400 Level as part of the MOU with ACCA.
DEPARTMENT OF BANKING & FINANCE
Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)/ACIB in Banking & Finance(4-year program) B.Sc. (Hons.) Banking & Finance
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.Direct Entry: In addition to the 5 credits in the subjects stipulated at O’level, OND holders in Banking & Finance are eligible to apply.
